Free IELTS preparation / built around your next move
Free IELTS preparation starts with the right problem.
IELTSNorth helps you find the weakness behind your score, choose one practical method, and test whether it works.
Choose your starting point
Four skills. Four different kinds of work.
Your overall band can hide a very specific weakness. Start with the module that needs a better method, not the one you enjoy most.

Practice becomes useful when every attempt has a job.
Use the same four stages for Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking. The details change; the discipline does not.
- 01
Diagnose
Name the exact reason marks are being lost. “I need more practice” is not a diagnosis.
- 02
Learn one method
Choose a small, repeatable process for that question type, task or mistake.
- 03
Practise under constraints
Apply the method with real instructions and realistic timing. Avoid endless untimed exercises.
- 04
Review the evidence
Record what failed, why it failed and what you will change in the next attempt.
Before you choose a module
Academic or General Training?
Listening and Speaking are shared, while Reading and Writing differ. Your university, employer, professional body or immigration authority decides which result it accepts.
Compare the two testsA plan that changes with the evidence
Give every study session a purpose.
A useful plan separates learning, timed practice and review. It gives extra attention to a weak skill without abandoning the other three, and it changes after each diagnostic result.
Start with your test date, available time and current confidence. The planner will turn them into a weekly structure you can actually follow.
